Guest Policy
Kindly go through ALL THE DESCRIPTIONS, HOUSE RULES, AND THE POLICIES CAREFULLY SO THAT THERE’S LITTLE TO NO SCOPE FOR ANY LAST MINUTE CONFUSION WITH REGARDS TO WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE HIDEOUT HIRAETH.

Booking Policy:
Your reservation will ONLY be confirmed after you complete a prepayment of;
a.) at least 50% of the total booking amount for stay durations less than 3 nights.
b.) at least 33% of the total booking amount for stay durations exceeding 3 nights.
You’ll get a confirmation email from reservation@thehideouthiraeth.com within 3-12 hours after you make the prepayment to get your booking confirmed and accommodation blocked for you at The Hideout Hiraeth. Please read this email carefully, it’ll have your booking details, some essential information about The Hideout Hiraeth, and detailed directions to the hostel. If you don’t receive an email within 12 hours, then check your spam folder or reach out to us via email at contact@thehideouthiraeth.com
Guests must be at least 18 years of age or older to book OR stay at The Hideout Hiraeth.
The Hideout Hiraeth is committed towards solo travellers and young backpackers and hence, we do not recommend families to stay with us. In case you are travelling with a family, with kids, and/or with senior citizens, a hotel or a resort would be more suitable to your needs.
Rates/ Tariffs at The Hideout Hiraeth can change based on availability and season without any prior notice about the same.
Extension of the stay at The Hideout Hiraeth, after your booking expires, would be provided on current room rates and is purely subject to availability.
Current room rates may be different from the rates at which the rooms were booked.
Certain policies are booking-specific and they are updated at the time of booking
The Hideout Hiraeth may have different policies during specific times of the year. We recommend you check for the same before booking your stay.
GST may apply to some purchases at The Hideout Hiraeth
Check your booking voucher or the confirmation email by reservation@thehideouthiraeth.com to ensure that the date, rate, and room type match what you have booked.
Choose the right dormitory according to your gender: Mixed, or Female Only.
Guests with any other gender apart from females are STRICTLY not allowed to check in to a Female Only dormitory.
If a guest, with any gender other than Female/Woman, chooses to book their stay in Female Only dorm, no refunds will be applicable in such cases and The Hideout Hiraeth staff/management will first try to: A.) adjust them in the Mixed dormitory if there is availability. B.) The Hideout Hiraeth will also offer them a private room subject to availability and complete payment of the applicable tariff of the room being offered by the said guest at the time of check-in. If neither of the two options mentioned earlier satisfy the guest expectations or demands, The Hideout Hiraeth reserves the absolute right to deny them the check-in and/or any services that The Hideout Hiraeth otherwise promises to provide when the guest chooses the correct dormitory as per their gender category.
Non resident guests are not allowed inside the rooms without thorough Check-in and Check-out procedures at The Hideout Hiraeth.
Private rooms accommodate only 2 people, extra beds are not available.

Check-in and Check-out Policy:
Check-in time: After 12:00 NOON
Check-out time: Before 11: 00 AM
Check-in formalities: Mandatory full payment of the accommodation price at the property at the time of check-in by the guests.
Check-out formalities: Mandatory full and final payment of the services availed including accommodation price, meals, food items, etc., by the guests before leaving the premise of The Hideout Hiraeth.
Please note that in case the payment formalities, as mentioned above, are refused/not completed by the guest, The Hideout Hiraeth staff and/or management reserve the absolute right to deny the check-in and/or check-out and take appropriate action, including but not limited to raising a legal complaint with the law enforcement authorities in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Only acceptable payment methods:- UPI transfers, online bank transfers, and cash.
It is mandatory for guests to present valid photo identification at the time of Check-in. According to the regulations by the Government of India, a valid Government ID with a clear Photo of the guest has to be carried by every person staying at The Hideout Hiraeth.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are subject to availability. However, please feel free to hang around in our common areas during that time.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are ONLY allowed after we approve your request regarding the same via email/official WhatsApp/SMS/Phone.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are ONLY allowed at an extra fee.
In case you fail to apprise us about late Check-out or early Check-in via email, the applicable charges shall be added to your bill and the same will be communicated to you via email/WhatsApp text/SMS/Phone call by The Hideout Hiraeth staff/manager.

Late Arrival: If you are arriving after midnight, we recommend booking the accommodation for the previous date to avoid waiting in the common area until check-in time, which is 12:00 Noon.

Other General Terms and Conditions under Guest Policy
The Hideout Hiraeth is a peaceful setting, located in a quaint village. And while the guests (also “You” or “They”) are welcome to enjoy music and have fun, they are expected to do it in a way that they do not disrupt the peace, privacy, and the overall experience of other guests or the neighbourhood.
The Hideout Hiraeth has a pet named Riley–a very friendly dog who doesn’t like to stay on a leash but does not enter inside the property either.
If you or your fellow travellers are completely uncomfortable or allergic to pets, you may reconsider your decision to book your stay at The Hideout Hiraeth.
Also, kindly do not feed her, take her for a walk, or leash her without The Hideout Hiraeth management’s written permission. Any disregard for these rules would result in immediate forced Check-out from The Hideout Hiraeth property(ies).
The Hideout Hiraeth DOES NOT provide PORTER services. And therefore, we are NOT responsible to help you carry your luggage. So, please AVOID carrying big suitcases/trolley bags. And if you can’t avoid that, please ensure that you take the full responsibility to carry/port your luggage yourself.
Smoking is NOT ALLOWED in the closed common spaces, including the Common Areas and the Dormitory(ies). If found out by The Hideout Hiraeth staff/property manager/host, action will be taken against the guilty guest that may include but not limited to forced check-out and heavy monetary penalty.
In case of 3 or 4 people travelling together, please note that we do not guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room.
Outside pets are not allowed at The Hideout Hiraeth.
Guests themselves are responsible for their own personal belongings.
Any group bookings which have not been authorised in advance via email by The Hideout Hiraeth, or have been made by several individuals/ separate bookings to make it appear as though it is not a group, can and will be cancelled and/or denied at any time in advance or on arrival.
Limited Vehicle Parking, subject to availability. Please get in touch with The Hideout Hiraeth property host/manager/staff to get updated information regarding parking space.
The Hideout Hiraeth reserves the right to admission
Lost/broken locker key penalty: INR 600
Lost/broken room lock and/or key penalty: INR 500
Meals at The Hideout Hiraeth range between ₹120-₹400, depending on what’s on the menu. The meals will be prepared and served according to the menu and timings decided by The Hideout Hiraeth staff and/or the management.
The same will be displayed on a board near the common area.
Meal timings:
Breakfast: 09:30 AM -11:00 AM
Lunch: 1:30 PM -3:00 PM
Dinner: 8:30 PM -10:30 PM
*If you wish to have any meal, you will have to inform us well in time. Once you say “Yes” for any meal or place an order for any item, it will not be cancelled because we are against food wastage and we expect the guests to respect the same.
A la carte menu: If you wish to have something other than what’s being prepared for any particular meal, we also offer a la carte menu from which you can choose and order items.
First order: 09:00 AM
Last order: 10:00 PM
Beyond the aforementioned timings, The Hideout Hiraeth staff/management are not responsible to heat or serve the food
*Customisation charges in food: The prices mentioned above exclude the extra cost of special customisations in the meals, items that are not on the The Hideout Hiraeth menu, and the meals prepared on special occasions. Please confirm the availability and price of the customised food items beforehand.
We are happy to provide the guests with a hot water facility, high-speed WiFi internet, and power-backed charging sockets facility in some common areas. However, there could be those days when there might be long power cuts, internet downtime, etc. due to incessant rains, snowfall, and other factors beyond our control.
In such situations, we do not take the responsibility for any such hindrances, disruptions, or delays in the services and facilities that are otherwise made available at The Hideout Hiraeth.
Heaters can be provided on demand only in private rooms at an extra cost of INR 300/day. No half-day use exceptions will be made in use of heaters.
Using personal electric heaters, iron, and other electrical appliances anywhere within The Hideout Hiraeth property(ies) without our written permission is strictly prohibited.
If found out by The Hideout Hiraeth staff or management, the applicable fine shall be imposed which will be added to the guest’s final bill.
As mentioned above, we already have a pet, which makes it difficult for us to allow other pets at our place. That’s why, we just cannot allow other pets at The Hideout Hiraeth.
Kindly do not take possession of anything without our written permission unless, of course, you are its owner.
The Hideout Hiraeth allows the guest to drink and smoke in designated areas of the property(ies). However, in case any action by a guest be deemed inappropriate by The Hideout Hiraeth staff/management, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to the attention of The Hideout Hiraeth staff/management, we reserve the absolute right, after the allegations have been investigated, to take fitting action against the guest, ESPECIALLY IF IT CAUSES PROBLEMS TO OTHER GUESTS, STAFF, OR OUR NEIGHBOURS.
This may require The Hideout Hiraeth to involve the local law enforcement authorities so that a thorough investigation can be conducted to bring back normalcy to the property premise(s).
Offering alcohol/narcotics to the property staff members, directly or indirectly, is strictly prohibited. If found out, the offender shall NOT be provided any Services and shall be asked to check out from the property immediately. No refund will be processed in such a case.
Any damage, including hard-to-remove stains, spillages on carpets and linen at the property shall have to be monetarily compensated for by the guests before leaving the premise(s) of The Hideout Hiraeth.
The guests are expected to respect the property rules which are put in place keeping in mind the surroundings, the neighbourhood, the property maintenance factors, the law of the land, and other guests’ convenience at the property. In case of any deliberate act of disregard for the aforementioned mannerism, the property management and the staff reserve the absolute right to take fitting action including but not limited to filing a complaint with the local competent authority and denying accommodation to the guest.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation & Refund Policy for normal booking days:
Free Cancellation if the reservation is cancelled in between booking date and 4 days before check-in date. The prepayment will be refunded.
The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if the reservation is cancelled in between 4 days before check-in date and the check-in date.
The prepayment will NOT be refunded.
The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if the guest does not show up /Cancel on the check-in date. The prepayment will NOT be refunded.
Cancellation & Refund Policy for high season booking days:
Free Cancellation if the reservation is cancelled in between booking date and 7 days before check-in date. The prepayment will be refunded.
The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if the reservation is cancelled in between 7 days before check-in date and the check-in date.
The prepayment will NOT be refunded.
The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if the guest does not show up /Cancel on the check-in date. The prepayment will NOT be refunded.
